You’d think that wearing your baby in a baby carrier or baby sling may make it more difficult for your baby to separate later. But wearing your child doesn’t make him or her more clingy. In fact, wearing your baby helps him or her feel more safe and secure initially which leads to more self-confidence as they get older. The more self-confident your child is the easier it is for him or her to separate as they venture off to new experiences like preschool, etc.
