Some young infants get very big very quickly especially if they are breastfed. If it didn’t take long for your baby to get to 15 or 20 pounds then you’ll want to find a way to carry him or her that won’t break your arm or your back! Think about wearing your baby in a fabric baby carrier or baby sling. There are many wonderful products on the market such as the Maya Wrap, Cuddly Wrap, Kangaroo Korner Adjustable Pouch, Hotsling, and many others. They all provide the wearer with the opportunity to take the burden off your dominant arm and distribute the weight of the child across your shoulder or shoulders and back. They are ergonomic, comfortable and feel very natural once you’ve got the hang of them.
